Manitoba First Nations Education Research Centre (MFNERC) Community Circle

The Manitoba First Nations Education Resource Centre (MFNERC) was established by the Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs in 1999 to provide education, administration, technology, language, and cultural services to Manitoba First Nations schools.  The MFNERC joined the VOICE Research Project in March 2013.  It has identified two success pathways for First Nations children and youth.  The first is a Transition Success Pathway that helps to facilitate the transition of children and youth from elementary school to high school with a particular focus on transition protocols from federally funded schools to provincial schools.  The second success pathway, Action Research, is aimed at encouraging action research in Manitoba First Nations schools.
